# Swap Tokens

The best way to start using PartySwap is to make a Swap on the platform, get your tokens ready and let's get the Swap Party started!

## **Steps to make a Swap**

Go to app.partyswap.io and get into the app.

Connect your Wallet to PartySwap (Make sure you have enough AVAX to cover the gas fees). Select the Token you want to swap and enter the amount, or click "Max" and select the Token you want to trade.

Review the details of your transaction and if everything is OK, click on "Swap."

Click on "Confirm Swap" and wait for the transaction to complete and watch your new tokens appear in your Wallet (If the Token does not appear in your Wallet, you will probably have to add the Token).

**Finding tokens to Swap:** If you can't find the Token you want to Swap in one of our lists, you will need its contract address, which you can paste into the search bar, and *Voilà!* Your Token will appear in PartySwap!

After you approve PartySwap to use your tokens, click on "Swap" and "Confirm Swap," you will receive a notification to confirm the transaction in your Wallet. After this, it will be executed and you will have to wait for the transaction to be confirmed by the network.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://partyswap.gitbook.io/partyswap/tutorials/platform-tutorials/swap-tokens.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
